This is an overview of the entire responsum we started to discuss sometime ago where the Ribash (Rabbi Isaac bar Sheshet Perfet), discusses the question of Anusim as witnesses and the duty to abandon all for the sake of Heaven. The text begins with a question related to a divorced woman.
The woman in question was a forced convert and her husband was also a forced convert. In fact, all of the individuals that were party to the divorce, i.e. the witnesses, were forced converts. Rabbi Isaac bar Sheshet Perfet was asked about the validity of the divorce document and the Ribash then continues by explaining that there were different types of Anusim.
